Tyrannosaurus Rex (Extinct)

How are you guys? Today we have an extinct monster on the menu. It’s one of the most famous dinosaurs. It’s the Tyrannosaurus Rex!

The Tyrannosaurus Rex was one of the biggest carnivores ever to have walked on our Earth. It was 13 meters long and weighed 8 tons. Even though it is a very impressive animal it only lived the last 2 million years before all the remaining dinosaurs got wiped out 65 million years ago!

Oh and the T-Rex may even have had feathers!!!

Like I stated earlier the T-Rex is one of the most famous dinosaurs ever. It has appeared in countless video games and movies. The movie that really gained popularity to this theropod was Jurassic Park from 1993. In this movie the monster was portrayed as a predator which vision only was based on movement. In the novel The Lost World by Jurassic Park author Michael Chrichton it is made clear that T-Rex in fact was able to see you even if you didn’t move. In real life there is no evidence that the T-Rex only could see movement either.

That’s it for today! Have a nice day, and if you wish you may request a monster for another Monster Madnezz post! :)

  2. If there were T-Rex's still around today, I would capture and train one and name him Sebastian. He would be a great guardian of my lawn.

  9. The fact that it has feathers makes me think it's not as much of a toughie. Oh that and the fact that it only eats salads.

  10. I prefer the spinosaurus as far as giant carnivorous lizards go, but a T-Rex is fine, too.

  11. One of my favorite bands is named after this dinosaur!

  12. So is the T-rex real? They've been debunking quite a few dinosaurs lately, including the brontosaurus.

  13. It's the second time you post something about T-Rex which might had have feathers and I'm still sceptical about this!

  14. Well, are you sure it's extinct?

  15. Nice, I always loved T-rex. Can you do one of sea monsters?

  16. We can't really say anything about the T-Rex's activity. It was 60 million years ago, haha

Spinosaurus holds the record when it comes to the biggest carnivorous dinosaur ever... for now ;)

    Clasically Trained Nub:
At least for now my friend. I can't help but smile when you mention Brontosaurus as a species debunked lately as I believe it was debunked in 1903 but who am I to judge your understanding of the word lately, lol. But yeah, you're right. Triceratops and Torosaurus are believed to be the same species now, it's crazy!

    Mr Bouchard:
I'd prefer if the dinosaurs looked the way they did in Jurassic Park, haha. But I think it's good that you're sceptical about it. Paleontology makes progress all the time and ideas are outdated and debunked also.

    Immafrog:
Yeah I'm pretty sure, lol. There is a very interesting cryptid from Africa called Kasai Rex though. Maybe I'll write about this one soon ;)

    Candleinthedark:
I've actually done a lot of sea monsters and probably also will in the future. You're welcome to make a more specific wish if you want ^^

    The Champ:
Don't you mean 67-65 million years ago? ;)

Thanks for all your comments guys. Paleontology is one of my biggest interests!
