I hope you are prepared for another dinosaur because today is Saturday which means it’s time for an extinct monster. This one is pretty weird and also discovered fairly recently. Meet the Incisivosaurus!
The incisivosaurus was a theropod from the early Cretaceous period. Usually theropods are carnivores but Incisivosaurus is thought to be an herbivore. It was discovered in China as recent as 2002. This dinosaur was bipedal and was covered with feathers, but the weirdest thing about this critter is its teeth! The name Incisivosaurus means incisor lizard and when you look at reconstructions of this guy you know why. The incisivosaurus looks like a bizarre mix between a bird and a rodent!
Like I said earlier it was discovered in 2002 so it hasn’t had that much attention in popular culture. In the tv show Prehistoric Park featuring Nigel Marven the incisivosaurus has an appearance though… But we need this guy in the upcoming Jurassic Park 4 too! Actually there are a lot of dinosaurs I’d like to see in a new JP movie!
Have a nice day all my readers and followers!
