Montauk Monster (Cryptid)

Good evening everyone! Today’s monster is a cryptid since it is Thursday. It is a request from Mr Bouchard. He suggested it a few weeks back and here it is; The Montauk Monster!

The Montauk Monster is a new cryptid creature. It was discovered lying lifeless on a beach in Montauk, New York 2008. The creature is very bizarre looking as you can see in the picture. The monster’s weird appearance and the fact that it is so hard to identify is believed to be because it has been in the ocean for an unknown amount of time before washing up on the shore. There are a lot of theories about what this guy could be. It could be a dog, a sheep, a raccoon, a sloth or even a sea turtle with a missing shell. Personally I believe that it could be some sort of canine or even raccoon.

Of course I saved the coolest theory for last! Near the area that the creature washed ashore there is an animal testing facility run by the government called Plum Island Animal Disease Center. That leads some to speculate that the Montauk Monster could be the result of a science experiment gone horribly wrong!

  9. maybe it was born with some severe deformities, or is a result of some crazy cross-species breeding

  10. Didn't they debunk this as a semi decomposed raccoon or something a while back?

  11. That's crazy! When I first saw the picture, I thought that it was a kind of cool looking mythical creature.

My face really changed when I found out that it actually washed up a real beach haha.

  19. Hi there! It's weirdest creature ı've ever seen..I'm a biologist and I can easly tell you that ıt's not a racoon or dog. To tell what species is an animal It's need to be known parameters lıke structure of teeths, skull..As I see ıt's skull doesn't match any kınd of species that ı know. So thıs creature ıs probably one of genetically changed organisms:/
